The Civic Engagement Office is partnering with the People’s Emergency Center (PEC) this year on a Halloween Drive to help make this Halloween a great night for the children who live at PEC and the kids in the neighborhood. PEC is seeking donations that will help them to host their annual Halloween Haunted House and trick-or-treating party for the 100+ children who call PEC home and the 200+ children who live in the neighborhood.
Members of the Bryn Mawr campus community can help by donating any of the following items:
- New or gently used and clean costumes
- Small toys and/or stickers
- Toothbrushes and toothpaste
- Small Flashlights and/or AA and AAA batteries
- Instant Polaroid film
We will be collecting donations from Monday, Oct. 19, through Friday, Oct. 23.
Donated items may be delivered to either the collection box in the Dean’s Office (2nd floor, Taylor) or the Civic Engagement Office (Dolwen, Cambrian Row).
People’s Emergency Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to nurturing families, strengthening neighborhoods, and driving social change by providing comprehensive supportive services to homeless women and their children and revitalizing their West Philadelphia neighborhood. The College partners with PEC annually on a toiletry drive in January as part of our Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service program.
