Rhoads Hall Fitness Center Opens; Haverford Eases Access to Its Fitness Center for Bryn Mawr Faculty and Staff

The Schwartz Gymnasium Fitness Center has successfully been relocated to the former dining room in Rhoads Hall. The hours of operation for faculty and staff are Monday-Friday 7:00 am-1:30 p.m.

Faculty, staff, and students can also use Haverford’s fitness center, located in the Douglas B. Gardner ’83 Integrated Athletic Center (GIAC).

To make it easier for the Bryn Mawr community to use the Haverford fitness center during the renovation of Schwartz gym, Haverford has installed a card reader under the Fitness Center monitor’s desk so that the monitor can buzz people in.

Bryn Mawr identification cards still will not provide access to the building after hours; however, Haverford has adjusted the locking schedule for the building.

Effective immediately, the GIAC East and West doors are programmed to stay unlocked during Fitness Center Hours:

M-F: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Sat: 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Sun: 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.

In addition, new access software will be installed the first week of January that will enable Bryn Mawr cards to be programmed in at Haverford.
