The Teaching and Learning Initiative (TLI) will be hosting its end-of-semester celebration on Monday, Dec. 14, from 3 – 4:30 p.m. in the Ely Room at Bryn Mawr’s Wyndham Alumnae House.
The celebration will recognize participants from both the staff-student and the faculty-student branches of the TLI for their work throughout the semester. Staff, student, and faculty participants will have an opportunity to share presentations in the form of iMovies, PowerPoint presentations, and personal stories about what they have learned, taught, and shared together this semester.
Among the featured presentations will be a performance by a student and a staff member of an original rap song based on their shared study of hip-hop dance and music this term. Additionally, the Facilities Department will be unveiling its new Facebook page. Each participant will also receive a gift in recognition and thanks for their valuable contributions to the TLI community.
TLI is designed to build community through fostering faculty, staff, and student collaborations in various experiences of and dialogues about teaching and learning through a variety of programs.
TLI programs include: Students as Learners and Teachers; Empowering Learners; the Student-Mentored Staff Computing Classes; Reading, Writing, and Communication; Continuing Staff Education; and the Technology Education Squad.
