Media’s Role in Peace and War Explored in Jan. 25 Lecture

Dov Shinar, a scholar on the media’s role in war and peace from Ben Gurion University in Israel, will explore the possibility of “peace journalism” and “common ground discourse” in a lecture Monday, Jan. 25.  “War Discourse, Peace Discourse: More of the Same?” will be held in Carpenter Library, Room 21, beginning at 4:15 pm.  Sponsored by Bryn Mawr’s Solomon Asch Center for Study of Ethnopolitical Conflict, the lecture will delve into the role of the media in peace-building.
