Athletic Department Raises $1,800 to Fight Breast Cancer

Bryn Mawr’s season-opening “Fight For a Cure” basketball tournament and related events raised $1,800 for the Bryn Mawr Hospital Comprehensive Breast Center, which provides free mammograms and other services to many women throughout the region. Project Educate in Africa Book Drive Most Successful Yet

The Bryn Mawr community donated 2,129 books for the Fall 2009 Project Educate in Africa Book Drive!, making it the most successful yet conducted. PEIA is now working to found its own library through Friends of African Village Libraries and isĀ  collecting children’s books written at 4th-8th-grade reading level.
