Actor Maggie Siff ’96 to Meet With Students Tuesday

Maggie Siff  ’96, a film, television, and stage actress,  will visit Bryn Mawr on Tuesday, March 23, to meet with students and to discuss her work, her training, and her career.  She will speak at 4 p.m. in the glass lobby of Goodhart Hall.

Siff has just finished an Off-Broadway production of Sam Shepard’s A Lie of the Mind directed by Ethan Hawke, and starred as Aphra Behn in Or, at The Women’s Project. Audiences will also be familiar with her portrayal of Dr. Tara Knowles on Sons of Anarchy, her award-wining work as department-store heiress Rachel Mencken on AMC’s Mad Men, and other appearances on Nip/Tuck, Grey’s Anatomy, and Law and Order. She’s also played roles in the films Leaves of Grass, Push, and others.

Siff graduated from Bryn Mawr in the mid- ’90s,  worked as an actor for several years in Philadelphia (including collaborations with Theater Professor Mark Lord), earned an MFA in Acting at NYU, and has divided her time between TV and film and playing in some of the nation’s most prestigious theaters, including the New York Public Theater and The Goodman in Chicago.
