The Bryn Mawr community is invited to a reception in honor of Associate Dean of the Undergraduate College and Director of the McBride Scholars Program Rona Pietrzak on Wednesday, May 5, from 4-6 p.m. in the Ely Room of Wyndham.

Pietrzak will retire from the College on June 4. She first came to Bryn Mawr to teach in the law and social policy program in the Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research. Since 1995, she has worked in the Undergraduate Dean’s Office, directing the McBride Scholars Program and advising traditional undergraduates as well. She has been a strong advocate for the McBride Program and its students, and has been cited by many of them as a crucial support during their years here. When the College decided to begin a Peer Mentoring program several years ago, Pietrzak assumed leadership and has helped it become an important resource for students. She has also worked with great commitment on the Praxis Steering Committee and has served on the Combined Campaign Committee.
