The Bryn Mawr College Department of Public Safety strongly urges members of the faculty and staff to register for the College’s new emergency notification system.
Although students have been automatically registered for the electronic service, the College’s records do not include all of the data necessary to register its employees, says Director of Public Safety Mike Hill.
The new service, called Everbridge, replaces the service previously provided by e2Campus. But Hill notes that faculty and staff members who enrolled in the old system will need to register again for the new one, since data from e2Campus could not be imported into to the Everbridge system
The College has posted a secure online registration form that collects the information necessary to send notification in several media. If an emergency occurs and the Everbridge emergency notification system is activated, it will alternately try to reach each registered community member by telephone, email and text message until the contact is acknowledged.
