Announcement from Payroll Coordinator Lee Brown:
Hello Students and Staff Supervisors,
Student time sheets for the 12/1/10 through 12/14/10 pay period ending date are due in the Campus Center bin before 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, December 15. OR They can be put in the payroll bin at our office located in Cartref anytime on December 15. Time sheets for 12/15/10 through 12/28/10 (pay period ending date of 12/28/10) can be dropped any time before you leave campus for winter break or held until you return in January. Time sheets from 12/28/10 pay period ending date will pay on January 6, 2011.
The direct deposit date for the 12/14/10 pay period ending date is 12/23/10. Those students who do not have direct deposit set up with the College may collect their pay checks on January 3, 2011, or when they return from break. If you would like to set up a direct deposit with the College, please contact me by e-mail (labrown[at]brynmawr[dot]edu).
Those students who have exempted themselves from the $2.00 per pay Lower Merion Local Services Tax for 2010 must complete a new 2011 Exemption form. Even if you just completed an exemption form for the Fall semester, a new one must be completed for calendar year 2011. If you will not be earning $12,000 in 2011 you can exempt yourself from this tax. I have attached a copy of the 2011 form. Please download and sign the form and also attach a copy of your latest pay advice (which can be viewed and printed from Virtual Bryn Mawr.) This pay advice is the documentation needed for the Township to show that you did not earn $12,000 in 2010 and do not expect to earn that in 2011. (Do not put your social security number on the form!!) You can put the form and pay advice in the Campus Payroll bin or drop at our office. If you did not complete this form in 2010 and paid the $2.00 per pay tax (it will appear on your pay advice on the tax panel as LST) you can request a refund for the paid tax. Please contact me if you would like information on that refund.
We will begin taxing ALL students $2.00 per pay on the 12/28/10 pay period ending date time sheet because it pays in January. You MUST return the signed LST exemption form before the first pay you submit a time sheet in January!! Please take care of this before you leave for break. Please contact me with any questions.
