Bryn Mawr College has had several impressive media mentions recently. Here are a few highlights.

As a high school senior Hannah Smith wrote an essay for The New York Times‘ “The Choice” blog about her decision to apply to women’s colleges. Now in her first year at Bryn Mawr, Smith checks back in. “I have only been at Bryn Mawr for a semester, and while at first I found this new atmosphere difficult to adjust to, I now love it,” she writes.

Associate Professor of Political Science Marissa Martino Golden ’84 was interviewed on WHYY Radio’s Voices in the Family on “Revisiting the Feminine Mystique.” Golden teaches the course “Women, Work, and Family.”

Meredith Monk’s residency and performance garnered quite a bit of media attention, including articles in Philadelphia Weekly and Main Line Suburban Life. The biggest splash was on the Friday before her performance when Monk was featured on the front page of the Philadelphia Inquirer’s Weekend section. The printed edition featured great photos of Monk and a number of Bryn Mawr students participating in a workshop.
