The Bryn Mawr College Board of Trustees has approved the 2011-12 tuition and fees. Undergraduate tuition will be $39,860. Room and board will be $12,890. SGA fees will be $290.
“Bryn Mawr remains committed to providing students an unparalleled academic experience and to enabling talented students from all over the world to be a part of this unique community of scholars,” says Chief Financial Officer John Griffith. “The College’s budget reflects our core values by allowing us to keep class sizes small, attract and retain the best faculty of teacher-scholars, and manage our financial aid budget. This year’s tuition and fee increase of 3.75 percent is higher than we would like, but is necessary to maintain the highest level of programming for our students. At the same time, we’ve made a greater commitment than ever to access — increasing our financial aid budget by 5 percent this year.
“The nation continues to struggle through a very difficult economic time, and Bryn Mawr students and their parents are not immune to those struggles. We’ve taken every step possible to make sure the budget moves the College forward responsibly and with the utmost consideration for every member of the Bryn Mawr community.”
