Staff Applications for TLI Now Being Accepted

Are you interested in working with a student to exchange skills and build a new relationship here on campus? The staff-student branch of the Teaching and Learning Initiative is collecting staff applications for the fall semester. If you are interested, please apply online.

Staff opportunities in the TLI:

Computing Partnership

Work in a reciprocal or nonreciprocal partnership with a student to improve your computer literacy skills. Partnerships can cover basic computing skills, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, email, and many other topics. 2 hours per week (paid release time); 1-2 semesters.

Continuing Education Partnership (C.E.P.)

Work in a reciprocal relationship with a student mentor to plan and pursue educational options towards completing a first degree (G.E.D., Associate’s, or Bachelor’s) and teach the student something out of your specific area of expertise, experience, or interest. 2 hours per week (paid release time); 1-2 semesters.

Empowering Learners Partnership (E.L.P.)

Work in a unique reciprocal relationship with a student or faculty member (or occasionally in a small group) in which each of you teaches the other something out of your specific areas of expertise, experience, or interest. 2 hours per week (paid release time); 1-2 semesters.

Reading, Writing, Communication Partnership (R.W.C.)

Work in a one-on-one relationship with a student, staff, or faculty mentor to develop your literacy learning and meet learning goals. 2 hours per week (paid release time); 1-2 semesters.
