Longtime Wyndham Dining Room Manager Willie Mae Taylor Retires After 43 Years of Service

photo of Willie Mae TaylorBryn Mawr Dining Services recently announced that Wyndham Catering and Dining Room Manager Willie Mae Taylor retired on Dec. 31 after 43 years of distinguished service to the College. Taylor began her career at Bryn Mawr in 1968,recruited to the wait staff of Wyndham by a manager who recognized her extraordinary “people skills.” She became the catering and dining room manager in 1994, and in 1995 she received the College’s Distinguished Staff Award, the predecessor of the McPherson Award for Excellence.

Taylor’s friendly smile, unfailing courtesy, and commitment to excellent service personified gracious hospitality at Bryn Mawr for generations of students, professors, fellow staff members and alumnae/i.
