Poet J.C. Todd, a lecturer in the Bryn Mawr College Creative Writing Program, served as a guest blogger for the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation’s poetry program in January. In herĀ “Poetry Friday” post, Todd discusses the foundation’s annual “Clearing the Spring, Tending the Fountain” gatherings, which offer New Jersey teachers the opportunity to read and discuss poems with poets. Todd leads several “Spring and Fountain” sessions each year. Why? “When I create a protected space for poetry duringĀ Spring & Fountain, I develop practices that protect my own survival as an enlightened being,” Todd writes.
