Zhiyin Ding ’15 will represent Bryn Mawr College at the 64th Japan-America Student Conference. Ding will join 72 Japanese and American college students traveling throughout the U.S. to discuss some of the most pressing issues concerning both countries.

Under the theme, “Share in the Present, Connect for the Future: Strengthen Ties to Inspire Change,” the students will reevaluate the strategic alliance with respect to globalizing society in line with the 50 year anniversary of the Treaty of Mutual Cooperation and Security between the U.S. and Japan. They will learn about issues such as environment and technology, culture and arts, security issues, personal and national identity, business and ethics, human rights, and Japan’s post-crisis reconstruction.
