Tri-Co Car Share Parking Permits Now Available

Posted September 6th, 2012 at 3:25 pm.

The following email was sent to faculty and staff by Jerry Berenson, chief administrative officer, on Thursday, August 30.

Faculty and Staff members:

I am writing to announce a new parking benefit for faculty and staff who sometimes travel to Haverford or Swarthmore Colleges.

If you commute occasionally by car-share (e.g. Zipcar or PhillyCarShare), by rental car, or by borrowing a car, the Tri-Co schools now offer a car-share parking permit for faculty and staff.Pink hang tags car-share permits, to be hung from the rear-view mirror, will be honored on all three campuses.  To obtain a car-share hang tag, please bring a current driver’s license to the Campus Safety/Parking Office at your home institution.

I’d like to note that the idea for this program was brought forward by Tri-Co Environmental Studies faculty, many of whom practice car-sharing.  Many thanks to them for cultivating an innovative idea that encourages environmental responsibility at both the individual and institutional levels.

If you have questions about the car-share permit, please contact Campus Safety.

Thank you,
Jerry Berenson
