The College will be celebrating Andrew Patterson, former reference librarian, and his many years of dedication to Bryn Mawr on Friday, Sept. 28, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Quita Woodward Memorial Reading Room.

After decades of service as a librarian at Bryn Mawr College, Patterson retired on September 7. He began working for the library on Sept. 6, 1977, 35 years and one day removed from his retirement date.

During his time at Bryn Mawr, Patterson served, educated, and enhanced the community in countless ways. His expertise at research assistance, classroom instruction and library space management and planning made him an indispensable part of the Reference Office.  His overwhelming commitment to the College and the level of his professional librarianship has set a very high standard.
