PhotoVictorThe American Mathematical Society and several other groups have deemed April “Mathematics Awareness Month” and named Bryn Mawr Professor Victor Donnay chair of the committee responsible for planning the month’s activities, which this year highlight  the “Mathematics of Sustainability.”

As part of the Math Awareness Month website, Donnay recruited a range of short essays about math and sustainability including one from the Philadelphia Phillies on their green practices.

The website also has educational resources, including a course outline developed by Donnay that makes use of Bryn Mawr's solar panel data and that was initially developed for his Math Modeling 295 course this semester and tested out by the students.
