Emergency Notification System Test Taking Place Friday, April 5

Posted April 4th, 2013 at 2:06 pm.

The College will be conducting a test of the Emergency Notification system on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 3:00PM.

Our emergency notification system on campus consists of two elements:

1) An audible siren / public address component.

2) An electronic notification component capable of sending out messages via land-line, cell phone, e-mail and text messaging.

Important!

To let the alert system know that you received the message:

* The phone message will prompt you to Press 1 to hear the message – press 1 again and the system will consider you notified.

* The e-mail alert will contain a link that contains the message. Click on the e-mail link and the system will consider you notified.

(THE SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE TO SEND NOTIFICATIONS UNTIL RECEIPT OF MESSAGE IS ACKNOWLEDGED)

Go to http://www.brynmawr.edu/safety/notification.htm if you need to UPDATE your contact information.

This page contains links to update your contact information (one for faculty/staff one for students). Please know that the contact information in the system is confidential – and will be used for notification in an extreme emergency only.

You will also see links for listening to the siren tone, as well as Emergency Response Instructions (Shelter in Place).

Message content will be….
