A group of middle and high school girls from the Coatesville, PA, area recently visited Bryn Mawr’s science departments as part of a program called the Girls University for Engineering, Science, and Technology.

The group, which was brought to campus by Professor of Chemistry Susan White, visited the biology labs of Assistant Professor Greg Davis and Associate Professor Tamara Davis where they extracted DNA from strawberries and were led on a tour of Assistant Professor Jason Schmink’s organic chemistry lab by chemistry majors Alicia Makepeace ’14, Jan Vidal ’14, and Summer Baker Dockrey ’14.
