Assistant Dean Theresa Cann, director of international education, has been chosen by the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers and NAFSA: Association of International Educators to participate in the Baden-Württemberg Seminar this November.
The week-long seminar takes place in Tübingen, Germany, and focuses on the German educational system, German-American academic equivalencies, and student exchange between Germany and the U.S. Lectures and discussions are complemented by visits to primary, secondary, and tertiary educational institutions in the state of Baden-Württemberg.
While in Germany, Cann plans to travel to Hafen City University in Hamburg, where the College recently established a new student exchange program. Establishment of the exchange program was spearheaded by Growth and Structure of Cities Professor Carola Hein. Last spring, Hein and students worked with their peers from Hafen City as part of the 360° “Space and Identity: Psychological, Artistic and Spatial Approaches to Hamburg, Philadelphia and Beyond.”
