Professor of Classics Catherine Conybeare Named Visiting Scholar at University of Toronto

ConybeareProfessor of Classics Catherine Conybeare has been named the John Bennett Distinguished Visiting Scholar at the University of Toronto for the fall 2014 semester. The position is held jointly at the Pontifical Institute of Mediaeval Studies and the Centre for Medieval Studies.

This is the fifth year of the Distinguished Visiting Scholars program; previous holders of the position have been John Marenbon (Trinity College, Cambridge), Henrietta Leyser (St Peter’s College, Oxford), Stella Panayotova (Fitzwillian Museum, Cambridge), and Christopher J. Martin (University of Auckland, New Zealand).

Professor Conybeare’s research interests include Late Antiquity, Early Christian Studies, and contemporary theory.
