TLI Project on Campus Diversity Invites Student Participation

Posted February 26th, 2014 at 4:23 pm.

The organizers of the TLI project on “Our Growing Diversity and the Student Experience at Bryn Mawr College” invite all students to participate in student-run focus groups for the project.

From the organizers:

As BMC becomes increasingly diverse, we want to be sure that we are supporting and responding to all students as best we can. We want to think about how we can best recognize the expertise and insight that students bring when they join the community. And we want to learn from students themselves how best to do these things.

This Teaching and Learning Initiative invites you to participate in a focus group about the various aspects of identity as individuals and as a community. These one-hour gatherings will provide space for students of all backgrounds to come together to reflect and talk about their own experiences of diversity, both within and beyond the classroom. The project will also provide the student insight needed for the college’s efforts to support all students and to recognize diversity as a resource for everyone. Individual identities will be kept confidential as the cumulative wisdom of these focus groups is assembled.

If you would like to be part of one of these focus groups, please sign up for a time slot on this Doodle poll. If none of these times fits your schedule, but you would like to participate, please email yzhang03(at)brynmawr(dot)edu.
