Staff Class Available on Microsoft Publisher

Defeat the Blank Page with Microsoft Publisher 2010
Open to staff

Wednesday, April 16th
2:00-3:30 p.m.
Canaday 315 (LLC)

Blank pages seem to bring out the worst in our insecurities about the quality of our creativity. This class will introduce you to general methods and strategies on how to best attack a virtual canvas to create a great-looking publication. You will then learn to apply these tactics and skills using Microsoft Publisher 2010, a desktop publishing tool included in the Microsoft Office Suite.

In this class, you’ll have the pleasure of learning from two skilled and experienced publication designers: Robin Parks, Associate Director/Publications Editor for College Communications and Richard Clow, Assistant Director, Dining Services.

This class is best suited for staff who are commonly tasked with creating fliers or other types of publications using Microsoft Publisher 2010 and/or Microsoft Word 2010. Prior experience with either program is not required, but is highly recommended.

Please note that Publisher is only available on PC; there is no Mac version.
