“StoryCorps” Coming to Campus for Move-In Day

First-year families! Making your plans for move-in day? We are excited to announce that StoryCorps, a national oral history project, will be on campus to record conversations between new BMC students and parents. Amidst the excitement of meeting roommates and making beds, we invite you to sign up for an interview appointment, as an opportunity for reflection on this new chapter for your family.

Participating in an interview requires one hour of your time, with an appointment scheduled in advance. And when you leave campus without your daughter for the first time, you will get a CD of the 40-minute recording to take home! With your permission, your interview will also be archived with StoryCorps and in the Library of Congress.

StoryCorps will be recording on Wednesday August 27 & Thursday August 28. To sign up for an interview appointment, please follow this link to the reservation page. The password was sent to all first-year students’ Bryn Mawr email accounts.

The attached documents explain exactly how StoryCorps conversations take place and what to expect. Any questions can be sent to Associate Director of Communications Matt Gray at mgray(at)brynmawr(dot)edu
