Public Event Held by Members of the Identity Matters 360°

The following email was sent to faculty and staff by Academic Program Administrator Sarah Theobald on Wednesday, December 10.

Join members of the Identity Matters 360° in Rhoads Dining Hall on December 12th from 12pm -2pm as we discuss, challenge, and complexify matters of identity! This event is an end-of-semester culmination of the cluster, coupled with the portrait gallery in the Campus Center.

This is an opportunity to discuss identity across all campus constituencies in “pods” (small groups that also function as safe spaces). We will be looking specifically at how your identities intersect and function at Bryn Mawr, both socially and professionally. We will also be looking at symbols of identity, including the Confederate flag, gendered bathroom signage, the American flag, and many more.

Lunch will be provided!

***Please note: student facilitators have asked that participants do their best to arrive at noon, when some conversation and listening skills will be exhibited.***
