The following email was sent to faculty, students, and staff by Provost Mary Osirim on Monday, March 16.

Dear Members of the Bryn Mawr Community,

I am very pleased to announce that Glenn Cummings has been hired as the Associate Dean and Director of the Postbaccalaureate Premedical Program and Health Professions Advising. Many of you may know Glenn already as he has been serving in this position as Interim Director since August 2014. Glenn was recently selected as the permanent director following a national search this fall.

Glenn brings to Bryn Mawr 14 years of experience working in higher education as an advisor, evaluator, and advocate for students pursuing careers in medicine. Prior to coming to Bryn Mawr, Glenn worked as Director of Health Professions Advising at Franklin and Marshall College and also at Princeton University. He finds energy and satisfaction in advising students through the pre-medical curriculum. During the search process, several current Post-Baccalaureate students reached out to the Committee to share their thoughts about the excellent advising Glenn has already provided to them during his year at Bryn Mawr. Glenn is active in several professional associations and has presented and published in the health professions’ field. He holds a Ph.D. in American Literature from the University of Virginia.

Please join me in congratulating Glenn and in welcoming him to his new position!
