The below email was sent by Professor Arlo Weil on March 25.

Dear Bryn Mawr College community members,

Members of PROC (Park Renovation Committee) would like to invite you to an open town hall meeting with our architects next Wednesday, April 1st from 4:00 – 5:00 pm in Park Science room 243.  Payette architects and PROC have now done enough developing and testing of our concept plans to reach a point where we are able to present viable models to the community for discussion.  Many of the details of the plan are still to be worked out, and as mentioned in our previous letter, the design and functionality of department, teaching and program spaces will be done in consultation with those affected individuals and groups during the main design phase to follow.  That said, an exciting vision of a renovated Park is coming into focus, which should be shared and discussed with those that will inhabit the space moving forward.  The concept plans are converging on a renovated space that will be inviting and functional for students and faculty, put on display the amazing research and tea!
ching that goes on in the building, and provide the types of learning and gathering spaces that members of the Bryn Mawr community deserve.

We hope you will attend.

Sincerely,

PROC:
Arlo Weil, Professor, Department Chair, Department of Geology
Dianna Xu, Associate Professor, Department Chair, Department of Computer Science
Richard Willard, Director Science Services
David Consiglio, Director of Research Support and Educational Technology
Joseph Marra, Campus Architect
